A Small Town on the Krishna
Wai is a small town in the Satara district of Maharashtra, on the banks of the Krishna river below the Sahyadri hills. Our parents' farm is here, and it is where our turmeric grows.
The soil here is black, deep, and rich in organic carbon. The rainfall pattern puts the turmeric rhizomes under just enough stress to produce more Curcumin, giving our turmeric its 6%+ Curcumin levels, well above typical commercial turmeric.
